So, the other night I was making a glass of iced tea for my Mom and something quite bizarre happened. I went to put the jar back into the lazy susan (which is right next to the oven) and it slipped out of my hand. When it hit the floor I heard a loud noise resembling glass breaking. My first thought was, "great, I broke the jar of iced tea mix", but nothing happened to that. Instead I looked down and saw tiny pieces of glass and black plastic all over the floor. What had happened was the whole front door of the oven had shattered! Needless to say, I was a complete wreck, because I didn't remember the jar ever hitting the oven, just the floor. The only explanation we could come up with, was that there must have been a small fracture in the glass already and the vibration from the jar falling onto the floor must have been enough to cause the whole thing to break! Crazy, huh? I'm still in shock over what took place and feel terrible (of course I'm blaming myself). D: So now we have to replace the door and it's going to cost a couple hundred dollars or so. *facepalm*
I'm so bummed that a new episode of LOST isn't airing tonight! How many of those dumb re-cap shows do they have to have? ><
In other exciting news, the high temperature today was 46 degrees- by saturday it's supposed to be 77 degrees! o.O I can't believe the difference, it's so substantial and will, of course, reek havoc with my sinuses (good times).
