Last.fm

Okay, I know that I'm way behind the times, but I've just registered an account at Last.fm here. *blushes* Up until now I've just been getting music via iTunes, so I thought I'd branch out and give this a try as well. I have just been lurking around all afternoon and was able to add a few songs/artists to my library, but I don't understand why it's not registering when I play a song. :S Is there something you need to do? How exactly do you make a playlist?

Anyone who has an account that would be willing to explain some of these things would be very welcome! Also, if you'd like to add me to your 'friends' list I'd be happy to add you back. =)

I don't 100% remember how to get it to work, but I do know you have to download something. If I remember correctly, I downloaded my last.fm application from here: http://www.last.fm/group/Audioscrobbler+Beta/forum

Did you download and install the plugin? If not, they won't register. I'm using the Winamp Scrabulous plugin for mine (my account there is the same username as everywhere else, so feel free to add me!).

I hadn't *blush*. I've downloaded something now and it seems to have added stuff from my iTunes, but I'm still not too sure how to use it! :/

And to get it to scrobble your songs, you need to install the Last.Fm app. There are some more complicated steps to get through, but they're listed here:

Thanks Marie! What's your name on there? I've installed the app. you gave me and my iTunes seems to have been added, but I'm still confused on how it exactly works. :( When I try to listen to something I've added via Last.fm it still doesn't seem to register that I've played it. Am I still missing something?

Btw, did you get my e-mail about the fanlisting?

Did you figure this out? I saw you added me:) You do need to download the last.fm client to get it to log the songs. ...Actually looks like you might have figured it out. I really, really like this site.
