Happy Memorial Day
I would like to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day! It is so important to pay tribute to those who have fought in past wars, to those fighting today, and especially to those who have lost their lives defending their countries. They are a rare group of very special individuals, and I am so grateful to them every single day. My Grandpa was a WWII veteran, and it was always such an honor to be in his presence, knowing the courage he had and the sacrifices he made to save others.

I agree with you. My papa[grandpa] was a veteran in Vietnam. :) I thought about joining the army, but decided against it. We should be thankful for our soldiers. I hope you have an awesome holiday too!

Happy Memorial Day! Am very grateful to those that protect the country too. Such sacrifices are made to give us the freedom we have.

I agree. My grandfather and father are both veterans. And the sacrifices they made were not just during the time they were actively in the service. My father was in Vietnam for two years and it has colored his life ever sense. I am in awe of his strength and the strength of the millions of veterans who quietly go about their lives.

Very well said, Kristin. :) My grandpa was a WWII veteran as well, and I felt the same way. About 5 years ago, my grandma's church had a memorial service for the veterans. It was very moving.

That's true. We only have a few veterans left from WW2 but they managed to maintain Finland's independence and for that everyone here should be grateful.

They've done so much for every country they represent, and I'll always be grateful.
