Last.fm Woes
Since I'm still kind of new to Last.fm I have come across a new dilemma that I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out with. I recently upgraded iTunes to 8.1 and ever since doing so I have not been able to get my iPod to scrobble songs! D: I've looked through the help forum and found that there are quite a few others struggling with the same problem but there doesn't seem to be any helpful solutions being offered. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I checked and everything seems to be current and checked to scobble so I don't know what I'm doing wrong? *cries*

On a positive note, I finally got around to creating a Shelfari account (always behind the times). If anyone who also has an account would like to be friends, feel free to add me! =) I really enjoy this site, I wish there was one just like it for cataloging your DVD collection. I know there's Flixter but that's not really what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of any sites like that?

What do you uses for scrobbling? The official client? I've found out that iScrobbler works best for my Mac + iPod, but I know there are others out there as well.

I just use the official client. I don't have a Mac so I guess I can't try iScrobbler. D:

My experience with the official client is that it's just not too great, doesn't sync everything correctly and is just generally fat and slow. :D

I think there's a Windows client called iSproggler that supports iPods. Could be others too, I just haven't heard about them. Sorry I can't be of more help!

You're right, it's not very good, not reliable, but I know so little about this stuff! O.o

I tried looking for iSproggler & others but it looks like it's not there anymore. I tried syncing my iPod with iTunes and re-installing the Last.fm scrobbler and at first it was giving me the same errors but then all of a sudden a window popped up saying I had over 1500 tunes to scrobble! O_O Now my song counts are all screwy but it seemed to work. I just hope it works next time I try to add new scobbles. *crosses fingers*

Oh I know, the whole thing is SO confusing at first, and it took awhile for me too to figure out how to make things work. I guess it depends a lot on the system/software/iPod model etc.
I hope it continues to work for you now! :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds this confusing! Thanks for the encouraging words, I hope it continues to work as well. *hug*

I wish I could help you! I'm even MORE behind the times, b/c I'd never even heard of Shelfari until you mentioned it!

I didn't either until recently! Don't worry about it, after some adjusting I think I may have fixed the problem- I hope. ^^
