The Aftermath
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got all the things that they desired! I'm very sad to see it over. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I get kind of depressed this time of year with all the hype leading up to the holiday- there's bound to be some sadness when it ends. D:

The day itself was very nice though. Unfortunately my Grandparents (Mom's parents) are no longer with us and my other Grandparents (Dad's parents) do not get along with my family. It's a terribly sad affair, but one I will not be elaborating on any further. It was a joy to have my brother home so the four of us could all be together, an event which rarely occurs these days. I made out pretty well in the gift department, receiving various DVDs, CDs, books, giftcards etc. I wish I could have gotten each of my family members more, but I just didn't have the extra money this year. I think the greatest gift of all is having those you love the most close to you anyway!

Lastly, I just wanted to mention that today would have been Heather O'Rourke's (the little girl from the Poltergeist trilogy) 33rd birthday. D: Ever since I was a child I have always loved her and felt such incredible sorrow that she passed away at such a tender age. Unfortunately, she died of the same thing my Grandpa had (bowel obstruction), which is a horrible way to die. I think she was an angel in life and now in heaven.

It's comforting to know I'm not alone! It is wonderful seeing my brother again, I miss him a lot when he's away. I hope you have a wonderful New Year as well! *hugs*

I actually didn't come up with that meme myself, someone else tagged me. It was fun to do! :D

Yes, there does seem to be a Poltergeist curse. D: Heather was only 12 years old when she died, so terribly sad.

I really despise family drama, it puts such a damper on everything! I'm glad we were still able to enjoy the holiday though, thanks for your kind words. *hugs* I hope you had a lovely day as well.
